Diary-September 7th 2008

Brief note. Everyone has now gone home except Dominic, and the kids went back to Schule this last week. Rhys is back to his Activity Nursery tomorrow. He wanted to go to Schule with Harry and Anna-Louise and cried when they left. BJ sleeps better!!!!

The Dr Who Forum is full of pics and notes about the Brief Season 3 of Torchwood which has started filming. So far only 1 glimpse of John and not much Gareth either. Everything so far is about Gwen and Rhys and there are pics, quite a lot of pics of them. Gwen looks just the same as before and Rhys looks very fat and bloated and awful. I posted that he seemed to have gotten fatter and several people right away said he was slimmer.{!!!!} I can't see the appeal of him. He is unattractive and overweight and I can't understand most of what he says. However, it looks like he is now a big regular character. I don't like him and I don't like Gwen. I am not interested in their love life or what they do at home together. I don't want to see either of them. I am sick of the pair of them and if I was in charge of filming I would have killed them instead of Tosh and Owen.

Anyhow, Mair has past her Driving Test and is now looking around for a cheap car!! JB caught a Mouse and brought it into the Utility Room. It escaped and ran up the stairs. It was finally caught by Harry. He cornered it under a Dresser. The result of all this is Rhys now says Maus and JB keeps looking for it everywhere. That is the Mouse.

Off to bed now.

Very brief note--mostly moaning---have read some reviews of Torchwood Radio episode and don't like the sound of it--too much Gwen and I don't like the thought of Gwen and Ianto bonding or whatever--I am actually sick of Torchwood----mainly because of Gwen and also Owen and Tosh being killed----absolutely sick of Eve Myles messing around and people saying how wonderful she is and how they now love Gwen---she might be wonderful--I don't know---but I am still sick of her ----may still write fics but I am not going to watch Torchwood any more---might look at sites because of John---no other reason----I am tired because Rhys was up at 5am standing beside our bed and saying loudly "Schule".

9/15/08 05:22 pm

Lots of trouble in our House at the minute. Dominic went out on Saturday, came home very very late, and brought a girl home with him. Harry got up in the night because, in his words, he heard some odd noises. He went downstairs to investigate and discovered Dominic and female naked on the sofa doing what in the Sims 2 is called Woo-hoo. As if this wasn't bad enough Anna-Louise woke up also and got a good look at Dominic and female as well.

The result of all this was a tremendous row between Dan and Dominic. I have never seen Dan so mad before. He was practically steaming he was so angry. Anyhow, Dominic has gone. Dan threw him out along with his belongings. Anna-Louise cried for ages and Harry finally confessed that he was surprised that Dominic should actually do that in a house full of kids in a place where he might be seen at any moment by anyone. I am still fond of Dominic despite everything but Dan is mad at him so I daren't mention his name for a while!

We went to Mass on Sunday and Anna-Louise told me quite seriously that she was going to pray for Dominic because he needed it! I think she's right too! Anyhow, she is now full of questions about sex and I am trying to be honest but it's hard. She will be 10 next month and she has seen two naked adults having sex. What can I say to her? I have explained that Dominic should never have been doing what he was doing in someone else's house in a Living room, because it is a private thing and should be between two people who care about each other. When I said that she cried again and said she didn't love Dominic any more. I said that when we love someone we must love them faults and mistakes and everything and that she must forgive Dominic for being so thoughtless. She said she'd try because I want her to. Oh well---

BJ is actually attempting to crawl. He is almost 8 months old and is terribly mobile and lively.
Perhaps he'll be an athlete! He is much more lively than Geraldine who is inclined to sit wherever she is put down. Anna is due to give birth March 10th 2009. She is hoping for a boy. Will says he doesn't care as long as it is healthy and Anna is alright.

Rhys is talking a lot and is going to be a chatterer like Anna-Louise. When he wants to say something and can't manage it he gets very cross and flings himself onto the ground and screams. He has a very piercing scream. When he doesn't scream he growls which I prefer as it is less painful on my ears.

Haven't managed to write much lately as I have been too busy. I wrote a short story called "The Box" for the Anti Gwen Allies which I will post here I think, as long as people don't complain about it being Anti Gwen. It is supposed to be a joke. Hmm. Off now to feed the Gang----

Diary--Sept 22nd 2008

Despite saying to everyone I would not watch Merlin on BBC TV, I found myself sitting with Dan, Harry and Anna-Louise watching it. BJ and Rhys were asleep, so we sat there and it came on so we started to watch it. After about ten minutes Harry got up. He told us it was rubbish and went to his room to use his PC. I ought to say that I found Harry at the age of 11 reading a lengthy boring thing called "Le Morte D'Arthur", so -----

Anna-Louise suddenly told us that the guy playing Merlin had been in Dr Who and she thought he was ugly------at least I think she said it was Dr Who----I was half asleep at the time----then she said she thought Merlin was an old man when Arthur was a boy----she and Dan were discussing this when we all heard Rhys shouting so I had to go and see what he was doing----

Rhys was standing at the top of the stairs shaking the gate and yelling Daune so I brought him down--idiot that I am--he sat on the floor and looked at the TV and spotted Gwen Cooper--oh he shouted Gen--then he made gagging noises. I ought to explain that Anna-Louise was evidently bored one day and taught to him make gagging noise whenever he sees Gwen---I told her she was wrong to do that but it is VERY funny--and he's so serious when he does it----

I put Rhys to bed again and then BJ woke up so I had to see what he was crying for. He has this, oh hell, what is the English, thing that hangs over his crib. It spins and plays several tunes--it would keep me awake but it sends him to sleep--anyhow it had stopped spinning---it has cows on it--and one cow had somehow caught on another cow----so I just separated them---

As a result of all this I didn't see much of Merlin, so I don't know if it was good or bad. Anna-Louise told me the best bit was Gwen dying----kids can be wicked---

I just read the above over again and realized that the cow bit sounds funny-----have to go now as Rhys has come up to the PC and is kehstyf rhsys anddd

Left Rhys's bit in----

Note.
9/22/08

I have sent a mail to the BBC asking them why they suddenly have enough money to make an expensive thing like Merlin, which is new and untried, but didn't have enough to make Torchwood more than 5 episodes---I have read too that some of the cast have been signed already for 5 seasons----no lack of cash there then----

I was, of course, very polite--that's the only way to get anywhere---personally I think Torchwood is finished----John is too busy to do it justice and two important cast members are dead----everyone at the BBC is fooling the fans---

My cousin Philip worked for the BBC as a producer before he went independent and he told me they are s----to work for. I only have his word for that though.

Diary---September 24th 2008

Despite everything Dominic is back in our midst. At least back in our family circle, not actually in the House as he has found his own apartment. He came around yesterday evening bearing gifts for us all and full of such apology that we all forgave him. Even Anna-Louise is friends with him again although not quite as before. He actually sobbed as he apologized.

Harry has a new girlfriend. She is from Sierra-Leone and is very dark. They look quite cute together but I wont tell THEM that!! Anna-Louise told me she is off men and then listed all the males this didn't apply to. The list got longer and longer until even Anna-Louise herself realized it was becoming ridiculous and dissolved into giggles. She is so gorgeous--- I love her so much. I love all my kids of course, but there is something really special about Anna-Louise. Perhaps it is because she is my only girl or perhaps it is because of Evie---I don't know.

Rhys is having tantrums and is talking a lot. He gabbles very fast and mixes German and English up together along with the odd bit of Polish. People can't understand what he is saying and that makes him very cross--I know how he must feel. I remember arriving in New York convinced my English was wonderful and then found that I couldn't be understood.

BJ has some hair and it is blond but so far almost straight---he is very noisy as well and shouts a lot. I let him feed himself and he makes a lot of mess and you have to watch him because when he has finished he puts his bowl upside down on his head. You have to watch and grab it before he does this. He doesn't seem to mind having food remnants run all down his face and neck. In fact he laughs. He is a cheerful baby anyhow.

A short while ago someone posted some pics of Eve Myles and JB messing around with Bananas while filming Torchwood. BJ likes Bananas but makes a mess with them. He squashes the bits I give him in his fists and if you don't watch him he puts them up his nose and in his ears too. When Harry, trying to be helpful, gave him a whole Banana cut up, he promptly pushed the whole thing into his mouth slice after slice until he looked like a Hamster. I patted his back hard and he very neatly spat it all out. He didn't seem upset by this at all.

Note for the new Parent: Never give your baby more than two small slices of Banana at one time.

Dan is doing a roof extension, or something to a roof anyhow, and comes in exhausted every evening. It pays well though. I prefer him doing inside jobs as I worry when he is doing roofs.

Heard Keith Jack and Niahm Perry, from the Oliver series, singing a duet from a musical they did in the Edinburgh Festival. It is lovely and their voices blend well together. I was most impressed with them. She was totally unsuitable for Nancy but she has a great voice for Musicals and should have a fine career, with good management. Keith had the best voice of all the Josephs, of course. I never liked Lee and noticed he put on the Joseph coat for ALW's Birthday. This seemed OTT to me. However, I always disliked him so I am biased against whatever he does. I wish he would do something about his awful hair and he needs to get a suntan or at least do something, as he often looks pale.

Disappointed with JB and Ruthie Henshalls duet, which should have been great but was ruined by her being off-key throughout. Someone posted a clip of them and I commented that she was off-key and had a reply from another person with perfect pitch who agreed with me. I was so pleased. I felt sorry for Ruthie but more sorry for John who had to sing with her.

It made me think of when I was a kid and I was playing a piano duet with this other kid in a Festival. He went completely wrong at one point and promptly went to pieces and ruined the performance. I was not a sympathetic kid when it came to this sort of thing and when we left the stage I gave him a kick and got told off. He cried and I was disgusted with him, so when I thought the Adults weren't looking I stamped on his foot and got told off again. Did I mention that I was an Horrible kid? I think I did----!!!! His name was Helmut Schmidt by the way. {Not THE Helmut Schmidt, of course}.

Off now to see to the Gang----

Quick note
9/25/08 08:29 am

Heard from Mama. She has been feeling unwell for a while {didn't reveal this last time I saw her} and has now been told she MAY be developing a type of Leukemia. Evidently it is a Chronic type that develops slowly. I am really upset and worried but I can't go there as we haven't the money and there are the kids to consider. BJ is only 8 months old and Rhys is still only 2. I can't leave them and I feel I can't drag them off to Hamburg for what might be ages. Mama is quite cheerful about the whole thing and said she was told people can live for several years with this.

I am very upset but there isn't a lot I can do as I am in London and Mama is in Hamburg. If she suddenly gets worse I will drop everything and go as I am sure Anna and Will would have BJ and Rhys, and Anna-Louise and Harry have friends they could stay with until Dan is home. Dan has to work as we have a Mortgage to pay and it isn't getting any cheaper. As it is I just have to keep in touch with Mama and see how things go.

Diary---October 1st 2008
10/1/08 05:30 pm

I am sure it is some Parents idea of heaven having a tidy toddler. However, we are an untidy, disorganized group. When I arrived home today, having fetched Rhys from his Nursery, I threw my jacket at the stand as usual and it missed and fell on the floor. I was about to leave it there, as I had BJ to deal with, when Rhys intervened. "Tidy, Mama" he said to me, pointing at my fallen jacket. He then pointed to the stand and said seriously "on hook". Evidently his nursery are very keen on tidying up, as they call it. So, I am now being instructed to tidy by my 2 year old. I am sure folk will be pleased to know that I dutifully picked up my jacket and hung it up.

Diary--October 3rd 2008
10/3/08 07:31 pm

Collected Anna-Louise from school and she was cross about something. She is so different from Harry. You don't ever get much info about his day from Harry but Anna-Louise is very talkative, so I was sure I would soon find out what she was mad about. True enough, when we reached home she turned to me and said "I hate Jimmy". Naturally, I asked what he had done and she said {these are her exact words too} "he breathed on me". So I said " WHAT did he do?" and she said "well----he BREATHED on me --- and it was horrid." I couldn't seem to find out exactly why this was so awful but I told her she shouldn't hate people even if they did breathe on her. She thought about this and then said quite casually "oh alright then."

I still haven't found out what Jimmy did to her and he is a quiet kid so I can't imagine it was anything too terrible. I mentioned it to Dan when he came in and he suggested that maybe Jimmy had bad breath!

Rhys had a tantrum in Sainsbury and the way folk reacted was amazing. He was sitting nicely in the shopping trolley next to BJ when he leaned over and grabbed a French loaf from a passing display. I removed it from him and he promptly screamed and had a full blown tantrum. He almost fell out of the trolley he was thrashing about so much. No-one said anything, but a small knot of folk stood and watched as if we were on TV or something. BJ started to cry as well so it was very noisy. I ignored it as best I could and tried to continue shopping. Rhys soon stopped and calmed down and I blew his nose and wiped his face and sorted BJ too. All the time we had an interested audience. It made me so mad I nearly had a tantrum myself. Then, to keep our audience interested, Rhys gave a huge sigh and said loudly and clearly "BUGGER." I could tell that everyone thought I was a lousy useless Mother. Oh well----So ist das Leben!

Diary---October 10th 2008

Dan is in a Romantic mood at the minute. He came home early and gave me the November copy of Cosmopolitan that has the pic of JB in it and a large bunch of Flowers. I posted the pic to two JB sites and put the Flowers in a vase. I am useless at Flower arranging.

This morning I was attempting to prevent BJ choking on his Banana when Rhys went into the Living Room. This is next door to the kitchen and there isn't a door in between, just an archway. Rhys, however, got out of sight, and I heard an odd noise so I went and looked to see what he was doing and he was on his knees on the floor trying to put the Plug of the CD player in the Plug Socket. We have those Socket Guard things so he couldn't do it and was getting very cross. I found he had actually gotten a CD out and it was lying on top of the Player. He must have tried to put it in the player and couldn't and realized he needed to put in the Plug. How intelligent is that? It's a bit frightening actually. I put the Plug in for him and found he had JB's last CD so I put it on and he started to dance. He likes to dance.

Anna-Louise is almost 10 years old and is talking constantly of her upcoming Birthday. She wants a Greenhouse. Yes--- a Greenhouse-- so we're getting her one of those small ones you can put up easily. She has listed who she wants for the Celebration and the list grows by the hour. We went into Town last Saturday and she had those---oh hell--what are they called in English--they are like strips of ribbon and they knot them in your hair--well--whatever they are she had them done and they looked very pretty.

Harry has his Black Belt exam coming soon. He is quite calm about it but Harry doesn't show if he is nervous. Dan told me he asked him how you know when you are in Love. He is very enthusiastic about his latest Girl Friend. She is nice though. I remember when I was his age. I thought I was in love with a boy who lived in our Street. He ignored me, but I longed for him. It was daft.

Anna came over with Geraldine. We sat her and BJ together on a mat and took photos of them. Geraldine has improved a lot and now looks quite pretty. She still looks like her Daddy though. Anna and Will are full of plans for the new Baby. BJ is quite a noisy Baby and Geraldine is too. The number of different sounds they made together was amazing. It also made conversation difficult.

Lots of photos of the Torchwood filming are circulating on the Web. Lots and lots of Gwen seems in store. I am not very eager for more Gwen. Latest is folk think The Hub gets blown up. I only wish this meant Gwen would get blown up but it doesn't. I am writing a very daft story at the minute in which she gets kidnapped by a gang of giant Spiders. It is what is called Crack. In my stories however, the entire Torchwood team are often somewhat incompetent. I can't help remembering an early episode in which Jack is telling Gwen some rules for Torchwood and we see the entire Team disobeying all of them as he speaks. In fact, although it is not a common view, I think the Team, including Jack, are mostly rather unprofessional and would never get a job in any German Covert unit. I presume the writers think if they were perfect no-one would watch them, which is maybe true.

Must Log off and go to bed as I am actually tired!!! We have visitors for the weekend so more later--much later-----

Quick Moan
10/12/08 10:31 pm

Visitors have gone home and I am off to bed. Had a quick look at the Dr Who/Torchwood site and there are some pics of JB at last, but it is still dominated by pics of and notes about Eve. She is evidently now more lively and fun loving than even JB, and I AM SICK OF READING ABOUT GWEN AND SEEING PICS OF HER----moan moan Ich kann sie nicht ausstehen.

RTD and being rude in Public and Torchwood Spoilers
10/17/08  02:48 pm

I have now been informed that those who were at the talk where RTD said Prince Charles was a "miserable swine" all knew it was said in jest and was not malicious.

Oh well, so if I ever get the chance to speak about RTD, in front of 2000 people, when I haven't met him, and I stand up and tell an invented tale about him and then laugh and grin and say he is a "miserable swine" everyone will laugh and it would not be rude--- and if I grinned while I said it it would, in fact, show what a great sense of humor I have and what a great person I am. I hope I get the opportunity some day.

This actually reminds me of my kids when they were younger. We were at a Bus Stop one day when Harry was about 7 and Anna-Louise was around 2-3. She was walking up and down the queue and I was watching her closely. When she got too far away I fetched her back and she pointed at a man at the other end of the queue from us and said loudly that he was the only person in the queue with clean shoes. I didn't think that was funny either. Perhaps this sort of thing is a British "thing". If it is I obviously will never understand it. In fact, that is probably the explanation. I think it is incredibly rude to say things like that IN PUBLIC when you are a Public figure yourself. The British think it is funny. A cultural thing perhaps.

On another note, Season 3 of Torchwood is going to be even more of a love Gwen festival than before. Evidently, The Hub is destroyed in Part One of the Five, and all those pics of Gwen now have meaning. She isn't in The Hub when it is blown apart and arrives as they are carrying Jack off in a Body Bag. This gives her the opportunity to scream and yell and run around and eventually sink to her knees in despair. Meanwhile, Ianto emerges unhurt from the rubble. He is just dirty and slightly scratched. Hmmm--I am not very eager to see this. I have seen enough of Gwen screaming and emoting in the other seasons. I have a feeling the "wonderful" RTD is responsible for this.

Our Boiler stopped working in the night and Dan and I were awakened real early by Rhys climbing into bed with us. We were then joined by Anna-Louise so Dan got up and found the Boiler was not working. I had to call the Gas and had the usual problem spelling Sierakowiak several times. Anyhow, a man came not long ago and fixed it.

Anna-Louise was 10 on Wednesday and we gave her a Greenhouse, which pleased her very much. She is having a Celebration for it on Saturday. They are going to a Restaurant for Dinner. It is providing everything including the cake. This is what Anna-Louise requested. She told me she is growing up now, so no more childish Celebrations. I am, myself, rather enthusiastic about Childish Celebrations.

Have to go now and fetch Anna-Louise from her singing lesson. Just in case, I must add that I love Britain and the British. I just do not understand them sometimes----

Diary--October 25th 2008

Must put a quick apology for not posting anything much lately but have been very very busy. Have finished the next two chapters of "A Life" but am waiting for them to be spell and grammar checked. A friend with a Degree in English does this for me and I haven't seen her because I have been too busy!

Anna-Louise enjoyed her Birthday very much and among other things now has ANOTHER Captain Jack figure to add to her collection. She has a number of them and most are of course the same but she doesn't seem to mind!

Have been friended by another Jennell! She spells it differently from me. This is surprisingly interesting---in my opinion you can never have too many Jennells in the world!

BJ celebrated being 9 months old by CRAWLING. Yes, he is CRAWLING. So now in our house we have Rhys getting everywhere and BJ following. This is somewhat alarming but he has always been VERY lively. Rhys finds it frustrating as BJ can now get to where he is playing and grab his toys. There is a lot of screaming as a result because BJ grabs the toy and Rhys snatches it back and then BJ screams----

I have a bit of time at the minute because Dan has taken the kids out. They are going into town and will have lunch in MacDonalds. Anna and Will, and Geraldine of course, are coming over this afternoon and that should be fun, as Geraldine isn't crawling although she is a week older than BJ.

Rhys is getting quite chatty and you can now have a conversation with him. He is going to be tidy, which is a first for us! He always puts his toys back in his toy box and at Nursery he follows other toddlers and when they drop what they are playing with he picks it up and puts it away someplace. This often results in trouble when the kid wants the toy again and can't find it. Rhys has put it away! When I'm there I tell him to leave the toys where they are but he looks at me and says "messy. Rhys put it away."

Harry is doing several Exams a year early as he is evidently ready for them now. He is buried in his school work a great deal of the time and the other day he came up to me and asked me a question about the Periodic Table. He wanted to know what the Symbol Si stood for, so I told him Silicon. He wasn't surprised that I knew which probably says something about our Household but I don't know what exactly.

I have the type of mind that remembers all sorts of mostly useless things. When Harry went back to his School work though, I thought---I KNEW learning the periodic Table would be useful one day. I could probably become a criminal if I wanted to, because if someone told me their Pin number for a bank account I would remember it for ever---

Have to go now as there is the Telephone ringing-----

10/26/08 04:27 pm

In July, Dan and I went on a Day Trip to Abbotsbury in Dorset. {Meant to add all this before but somehow never did--oh to be organized} We left early in the morning and dropped the kids off at Anna and Will's the previous night. It was to celebrate our wedding anniversary {fools that we are}. Anyhow, here is my favorite Photo from the trip-----

{See Photo on Photo Pages.}
